Two men found locked in Limassol animal barn, police make two arrests

Police have arrested a 30-year-old and a 55-year-old University professor, after they were linked to the human trafficking case involving two men locked into an animal barn in Limassol

Police have made two arrests in connection to a case of human trafficking, after two men were found locked in an animal barn in Limassol.

According to the police, a 55-year-old Greek national and 30-year-old Egyptian national were arrested on Tuesday, after they were linked to two men of Nepali nationality who were found locked in an animal barn in the Limassol district.

The two men that were found in the barn were described as being in a dreadful physical and psychological condition.

The two suspects were led before the Limassol district court, which ordered an eight-day remand during which police are expected to investigate the case that has been linked to human trafficking.

Local media reported that the 55-year-old is a University professor.
