Get ready for a bit of everything today, sunshine, clouds, a sprinkle of rain, and even a dash of dust for extra flavor. A weak low-pressure system is hanging around, which basically means the weather can't quite make up its mind.
Today, expect partly cloudy skies, and if you're heading inland or up to the mountains around lunchtime, don’t be surprised if a few showers crash the party. Winds will be coming mainly from the southwest to northwest, light to moderate (that’s 3 to 4 Beaufort for the weather nerds), but could get a bit rowdy along the south coast (up to 5 Beaufort). The sea will be doing a light jig, nothing too wild.
Temperature-wise, it’s shaping up to be pretty pleasant:
- 27°C inland (almost summer vibes!)
- Around 24°C on the south and east coasts
- A cooler 22°C for the west and north coasts
- And if you’re mountain-bound, pack a jacket, it's just 13°C up there.
Tonight, clouds will be playing peekaboo across the sky. Winds will settle down from the northwest to northeast, nice and light, and the sea will calm down too. Temperatures will dip to 13°C inland, 14°C along the coast, and a chilly 7°C up in the mountains.
Looking ahead:
- Wednesday brings more clouds and some scattered showers. Oh, and a dusty atmosphere too, perfect for that “vintage filter” look in your photos.
- Thursday could get a bit feisty with more isolated showers or even a sneaky thunderstorm, mainly inland and in the mountains.
- Friday looks mostly cloudy with on-and-off local rains and a few storms thrown in for good measure.
Temperatures will climb a little on Wednesday (especially in the mountains), but don’t get too comfortable, by Thursday they’ll dip slightly below the usual for this time of year.
In short, expect a little bit of everything this week, except boredom.
