Monaco Telecom, the sole shareholder of Cyprus-based telecom provider Epic, was recognized at the 13th Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards for its substantial contribution to the Cypriot economy through continued investment in the telecommunications sector.
The award showcases Monaco Telecom’s strategic acquisition of Epic in 2018 and its ongoing role in advancing digital infrastructure across the island. Since the acquisition, the company has helped position Cyprus as a competitive international business hub through multimillion-euro investments in high-speed mobile and fiber networks.
“This prestigious award stands as a testament to our commitment and the incredible work done by Epic’s management and team,” said Martin Péronnet, CEO of Monaco Telecom, during the awards ceremony. “We feel at home here.”
Péronnet emphasized Epic’s role in driving the country’s digital transformation through next-generation networks and strong customer service, calling the company “a leading telecommunications provider in Cyprus.”
Epic CEO Thanos Chronopoulos also welcomed the recognition, citing Monaco Telecom’s ongoing trust and support. “Together, we have made significant strides in the advancement of telecommunications infrastructure, essential for the country’s development,” he said.
The Invest Cyprus International Investment Awards, organized by the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency and held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, honor companies that have bolstered the country’s international investment profile.
