Cyprus shoppers have something new to be excited about, the country’s first-ever Pandora Jewellery and New Balance stores are opening at Nicosia Mall. The popular UK restaurant chain Wagamama also joined the mall’s lineup this year, along with new outlets from PrimeTel and Cablenet.
And the good news doesn’t stop there. Another major international lifestyle brand is expected to launch soon, while the mall is also expanding its parking areas by the end of the year to handle the growing crowds.
In an interview on SPOR FM 95.0, Nicosia Mall’s General Manager Giorgos Georgiou said 2025 has been off to a strong start. Foot traffic has increased by 5%, and sales are up by around 12–13% compared to the same period last year.
“People are still spending, carefully,” Georgiou said. “With inflation, high interest rates, and rising living costs, consumers are watching their wallets. But they’re still shopping, just based on what they can afford.”
He added that Nicosia Mall is designed for all budgets, with a variety of stores catering to different needs.
Meanwhile, plans are in motion to build a second major shopping center in Limassol. The same investors behind Nicosia Mall have already applied for a planning permit and expect construction to begin by the end of this year.
The new mall will be located in east Limassol, near Jumbo in the former Athanasios municipality. It’s expected to be about the same size as Nicosia Mall.
“Our goal is to fill the gaps in Limassol’s retail scene, both in terms of shopping options and design,” Georgiou said.
