The US sovereign wealth fund, SWF, is keen on joining the Greece-Cyprus-Israel Great Sea Interconnector project. ADMIE, the Transmission System Operator for the Hellenic Electricity Transmission System, confirmed SWF's interest, which could involve funding or loans.

Officials from ADMIE, SWF, and the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy discussed the project's terms and potential benefits in a recent meeting. ADMIE emphasized that timely regulatory frameworks are crucial for SWF's final decision.

ADMIE's CEO welcomed SWF's interest, seeing it as a vote of confidence in the project's benefits for consumers. He thanked the Greek authorities and the US Embassy for their support.
