THE NGO CYPRUS STOP TRAFFICKING
Celebrates the EU day for fighting Human Trafficking

The 18th of October is the EU day for fighting Human Trafficking. The NGO Cyprus Stop Trafficking (CyST) organised an event in Nicosia on the day, in order to increase awareness of this big problem occurring in Cyprus. 

The event was addressed by Mr. Neophytos Neophytou, President of CyST, followed by Mrs. Nora Dikaios, President of ZONTA Club of Nicosia, presenting ZONTA International and the ZONTA Centennial Anniversary Grant of US$5000 that ZONTA Club of Nicosia was awarded for its partnering organisation CyST, in their joint efforts to stop human trafficking.

The Head of the Police department combatting trafficking, Mrs. Rita Superman, gave a very informative speech on the subject as well as of the various problems the police is facing in their effort to combat trafficking, answering questions of the audience.
