If you're looking to escape the city heat without compromising on great food, Salt & Fire in Agios Ioannis has exactly what you need. Since the beginning of June, the iconic steakhouse owned by the Heimonides family has been opening its garden by the pool for dinner service, offering evenings under the stars with the open Nicosia sky as the perfect backdrop.
What hasn't changed is what matters most: the grilling.
The restaurant's renowned Black Angus and Ribeye steaks from the United States and Australia, featuring premium-aged cuts and expertly selected beef, are now served in the garden with the same precision and care diners have come to expect indoors. The grill is still blazing. The garden is now open. The experience on the plate remains unchanged.

In 2025, Salt & Fire ranked third in the WiZ 50 Best Restaurants in Cyprus, making it the only Nicosia steakhouse in the top three and the highest-ranked steakhouse on the island.
This summer, the restaurant is simply expanding the experience without changing what made it stand out in the first place.
"We don't dress up the food. Good meat, properly cooked over fire — that's the whole idea, whether it's winter or summer," says Giorgos Heimonides.
