An autopsy on the body of a 78-year-old man discovered lifeless in an inner garden of Paphos General Hospital on Sunday morning (17/9), has unveiled the cause of his death.
According to the autopsy findings, the 78-year-old man's demise was attributed to multiple injuries sustained from a fall.
The head of the Paphos Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Michalis Nicolaou, made a statement confirming that there is no suspicion of foul play or a criminal act involved.
As per Mr. Nicolaou's report, the 78-year-old British national had been admitted to Paphos General Hospital for treatment related to a respiratory infection.
He further disclosed that the elderly individual was discovered unconscious at 05:00 on Sunday by a vigilant security guard within an indoor garden of the hospital. Tragically, despite efforts, the man could not be revived and was subsequently pronounced dead by an attending physician.
