High-rise towers to replace historic KEAN factory in Limassol

Bbf plans 20-storey developments on the 40-acre site, with construction set for 2026.

The historic KEAN factory on Limassol’s coastal avenue will soon be replaced by twenty-storey residential, commercial, and office developments, according to sources. The site, which has been home to the soft drinks company since July 1, 1956, will be demolished as part of a redevelopment project by its new owner, bbf (Build Better Future).

According to Kathimerini's Dorita Yiannakou, Bbf has already drafted a comprehensive plan for the high-rise developments, which are currently undergoing approval. The company’s immediate priority is to relocate KEAN’s existing staff to a new facility—already secured—while ensuring uninterrupted production. The demolition and relocation will proceed as swiftly as possible, with construction on the new development set to begin in 2026.

The sale of KEAN Group to the Cypriot land and property developer was finalized in April 2023. The factory spans 40 acres in a prime area east of Limassol, making it a highly valuable real estate asset.
