Alright, Cyprus, winter has decided to make a grand entrance just when we were all hoping for an early spring. Expect a mix of clouds, rain, and snow, plus a solid dose of "why is it this cold?" moments.
Friday: Expect a game of hide-and-seek with the sun as clouds roll in and out. Some lucky (or unlucky?) spots may get a quick splash of rain, while Troodos could see a fresh dusting of snow—perfect for those who claim they "love the cold" but will still be shivering in three layers. Winds will keep things interesting, blowing at 3-5 Beaufort because apparently, the weather wants to mess with our hair. Temperatures will reach a "not-so-balmy" 11°C inland, 14°C on the coast, and a delightful zero degrees in the mountains. Yes, zero. Troodos, you win.
Friday Night: Clear skies but not warm skies. Temps will drop to 5°C inland, 6°C on the coast, and a downright disrespectful -4°C in the mountains. Expect frost to form wherever it pleases, making early morning driving extra fun.
Saturday: Mostly clear skies, but Troodos might get a bit of snowfall—because why not? Good news for snow lovers, bad news for anyone who thought they could wear a light jacket.
Sunday: Clouds are back, bringing some rain and more mountain snowfall. Perfect weather for doing absolutely nothing outdoors.
Monday: The week will kick off with even more clouds, a chance of isolated showers, and—you guessed it—more snow in the mountains. At this point, Troodos might as well start charging for ski passes.
Temperature Trend: It’s staying colder than usual for this time of year, so don’t pack away your coats just yet. Snow depth in Troodos? A solid 19 cm—just enough for a snowball fight, but not quite enough to justify buying a sled (yet).
Moral of the story? Winter isn’t done with us yet. Stay warm, Cyprus!
