Today, a low-pressure system is making its presence known in the area. Initially, locally increased cloud cover is anticipated to bring isolated showers, mainly in the west, mountainous, and southern coastal areas.

Gradually, the weather will become partly cloudy, occasionally locally overcast, with expected local showers and isolated thunderstorms in the west. Periodic dust in the atmosphere is also expected. Winds will mainly blow from the southwest, ranging from weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, later becoming moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort, along the coast.

The sea will be slightly to locally rough. Temperatures will reach around 20 degrees in the western and southwestern coasts, about 21 degrees inland and on the remaining coasts, and around 10 degrees in higher mountainous areas.

Tonight, in the west, north, and mountains, locally increased cloud cover is expected to bring isolated showers and thunderstorms, while snow or sleet is expected in higher mountainous regions. Dust in the atmosphere will be observed periodically.

Winds will mainly be from the southwest to northwest, weak to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will become slightly to locally rough, and in the west, it will be rough. Temperatures will drop to around 7 degrees inland, around 9 degrees in the southeast and north coasts, around 11 degrees in the remaining coasts, and around 1 degree in higher mountainous areas.

On Wednesday, the weather will be mainly overcast with local showers and isolated thunderstorms, initially in the west and north and gradually extending to the rest of the island. Snow or sleet may fall on the higher peaks of Troodos.

On Thursday, the weather will initially be mostly clear, but gradually increased cloud cover is expected to bring isolated showers or brief storms, mainly in the southern half of the island. On Friday, the weather will gradually become partly cloudy and intermittently overcast, with expected isolated showers, while local showers and isolated thunderstorms are anticipated in the evening, starting from the west.

Temperature-wise, a decrease is expected on Wednesday, while Thursday and Friday are not likely to see significant changes, remaining near or slightly above average climatological values.
