Another woman appears to have fallen to her death in Yermasoyia, similarities with last year’s incident

A woman from Romania was found dead in a parking lot in Limassol, with reports saying police are ruling out foul play.

According to local media, the body of a woman described as a 32-year-old Romanian national, was discovered Wednesday morning in the parking lot of a residential building in Yermasoyia, Limassol district.

Police, who reportedly received information about a body and rushed to the scene, immediately sealed off the area and a state forensic pathologist was called for an initial autopsy. According to Kathimerini Cyprus, a man had alerted the authorities early in the morning.

Reports said preliminary indications pointed to an accident, citing police drawing conclusions after finding beer bottles on the roof of the building. Investigators were said to have a suspicion that the woman was consuming alcohol on the roof prior to her death, while a post mortem is expected to shed light on the circumstances.

Reports said the woman was living in Cyprus in the last few years with her brother and his wife.

A similar incident was reported last year in the same area.
