The 1450 Communication Centre will be operational on Thursday, March 30, 2023, as part of the State's larger effort to modernize and improve the quality of service that the State provides to its citizens.
The Contact Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and will serve as a single point of contact for the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance's Social Security Services and the State Ministry of Social Welfare's Welfare Benefits Management Service.
Citizens will be able to access this service as follows:
- Via the pan-Cypriot number 1450, for calls within Cyprus (free of charge)
- Via the number +357 22 008020, for calls from abroad (free of charge)
The 1450 Contact Centre has been developed with the cooperation of the Department of Information Technology Services of the Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy, and is expected to make an important contribution both to optimising the services to citizens and to enhancing the efficiency of the Social Security and Welfare Benefits Management Services.
It should be noted that the Communication Centre will operate on a trial basis for two (2) months, with continuous staff training to ensure the provision of accurate, up-to-date, and high-quality information and services.
If additional clarifications are required, they will be handled by the appropriate services, and a response will be provided within a reasonable time frame.
