A reported rape case involving a tourist in Ayia Napa is under investigation by the Famagusta District Court following a complaint.
According to the information available, a 20-year-old tourist from England reported to the police that she was sexually assaulted by several individuals at a hotel in Ayia Napa.
Testimonies have been collected from five individuals from Israel, two of them are 20 years old, and the remaining three are 19 years old. They have been taken into custody.
Earlier today, the five individuals appeared in front of the Famagusta District Court, which has ordered their detention for eight days.
The Famagusta Police Department is handling the investigation.
