A 7-year-old girl was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon after a rented jet ski collided with an inflatable water attraction in the Pernera area of Protaras.
The inflatable was being towed by a speedboat and was carrying five members of the same family, including children, when the collision occurred.
The girl was taken to Makarios Hospital for medical examinations and treatment. Her condition is considered serious, but doctors have determined that her life is not in danger, according to information available so far.
A 48-year-old man who was also on the inflatable was injured in the accident and taken to Famagusta General Hospital.
Police officers attended the scene following the collision. Investigations are underway to establish how the accident happened and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
