Good morning, Cyprus! Here’s your Monday weather update for January 13, 2025.
A weak low-pressure system is in the mix today, keeping things interesting with occasional light dust suspended in the atmosphere—just enough to remind you it’s not quite spring yet.
As the day progresses, expect partly cloudy skies with isolated afternoon showers in some areas. Winds will gently shift between northeasterly and southeasterly, ranging from light to moderate (3-4 Beaufort), and the sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will reach a comfortable 19°C inland, 21°C along the coast, and a chillier 12°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight, low clouds will increase, with fog or mist likely forming over the eastern half of the island as the hours pass. Winds will remain light from the same directions (3 Beaufort), and the sea will keep its slightly rough demeanor. Overnight lows will settle at 9°C inland, 11°C on the coast, and a frosty 4°C in the higher mountains—so bundle up if you're heading to higher altitudes.
Looking ahead: Tuesday and Wednesday will be mostly sunny with some afternoon clouds popping up, while Thursday brings partly cloudy skies and a chance of isolated rain. Temperatures will stay comfortably above the average for this time of year.
And for winter fans: Troodos currently has 12 cm of snow on its highest peaks—ideal for a quick snowy adventure!
Enjoy your day, Cyprus, and make the most of the sunshine between the clouds!
