A taste of the first 'Green Agenda Cyprus Summit'

The inaugural "Green Agenda Cyprus Summit" was held on Monday, May 20, at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia. The event brought together leaders from Cyprus' business community and featured prominent speakers and experts on environmental, sustainability, and energy issues from around the world, aiming to inspire and motivate attendees.

The conference's purpose was to support Cyprus' green transition efforts, aspiring to make the country a model of green living and sustainable development. Discussions and presentations focused on various aspects of climate action, including the risks of climate change and their impact on people's lives, the environment, the banking system, industry, real estate, and the insurance sector. Additionally, sustainability, energy, and the protection and development of green spaces were central themes.

Key topics included renewable energy production, storage, and smart energy distribution, financing the green transition, the link between health and the environment, reducing the ecological footprint, the evolution of the food production chain, and waste management.
