Changing winds and clouds mark the week

Afternoon storms and sparse dust forecast

Newsroom

A gentle low-pressure system is casting a mix of weather over the region, promising a blend of sunshine, showers, and seasonal temperatures in the coming days.

Today begins with partly cloudy skies and the possibility of isolated light showers in the northeast. As the day progresses, clouds will develop, bringing chances of isolated showers or brief thunderstorms, particularly in the mountains and northwest. Occasionally, sparse dust will hang in the air. Winds will blow from the northeast to southeast, generally moderate at 4 Beaufort, and may occasionally reach 5 Beaufort along the coast. By afternoon, winds will shift to the southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough, adding a touch of drama to the coastal vistas. Temperatures will rise to around 31 degrees Celsius inland, 28 degrees on the coast, and 23 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the skies will become more overcast, particularly in the west and north. Winds will gently blow from the southwest to northwest at a light 3 Beaufort, and the sea will gradually calm to become slightly choppy. Temperatures will dip to around 16 degrees inland, 17 degrees on the coast, and 10 degrees in the higher mountains.

Looking ahead to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, isolated showers are expected at midday and in the afternoon, primarily in the highlands and inland areas. Sparse dust will continue to linger in the atmosphere until Wednesday. Temperatures will hold steady, remaining close to the average climatic values for this time of year, ensuring a familiar and comforting weather pattern through Thursday.
