The bathing waters at Agia Varvara beach in the Agios Tychonas area have been officially classified as excellent, announced the Department of Environment.
This assessment follows recent microbiological analyses that confirmed the water meets high quality standards. The Department said it has coordinated with local authorities, health services, and the General State Chemistry Department to implement preventive measures aimed at protecting both the marine environment and public health.
Officials also noted that regular water quality monitoring continues throughout Cyprus to ensure the safety and cleanliness of swimming areas nationwide.
