Authorities seized a number of dangerous materials during a coordinated multi-agency operation conducted earlier Friday in the Trachoni and Ypsonas areas.
Led by the Sovereign Base Areas Police, the operation was carried out in cooperation with Cyprus Police, the Cyprus Fire Service and Kourion Municipality. The effort targeted locations reportedly known for youth gatherings.
Authorities said the operation resulted in the seizure of petrol bombs, firecrackers, iron nails, stones, wooden planks, tyres and other hazardous materials.
Officials described the operation as part of an ongoing effort to prevent anti-social behavior and enhance public safety.
