Panic erupted around midday at Kykkos High School and Nikolaideio Gymnasium in Paphos after authorities received a bomb threat that later proved to be a hoax.
Police said an email sent to the Gymnasium’s office, which shares a building with Kykkos High School, claimed an explosive device had been placed on the premises. School officials followed standard protocols and evacuated classrooms.
A subsequent police investigation confirmed the message was a prank.
