A 70-year-old woman was hospitalized after being robbed Tuesday in Paphos, Cyprus, authorities said. She reportedly suffered a fracture during the incident.

According to police, around 10:45 a.m., the woman was standing next to her car in an open parking area when a second vehicle pulled up beside hers. An unknown individual got out of the driver’s seat and opened the front passenger door of her car. The suspect allegedly took her mobile phone, handbag containing 150 euros, and other personal items.

As the suspect attempted to leave, the woman tried to stop him. Police said he dragged her and threw her to the ground.

She was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where doctors found a fractured right shoulder and abrasions on her right arm and knee. The Paphos Criminal Investigation Department is continuing its investigation.
