In an act of support for local healthcare, Cans For Kids has donated a state-of-the-art medical device to the neonatal department at Limassol Hospital. The donation, made this morning, consists of a Medin-NC3 CPAP driver, a vital piece of equipment used to aid premature babies with respiratory difficulties. The cost of the machine is valued at over €14,500.
Since its establishment in 1990, Cans For Kids has contributed nearly €350,000 worth of medical equipment to hospitals across the region. The organization has focused its efforts on providing life-saving tools to enhance the quality of care available to young patients, especially newborns in critical conditions.
The neonatal department at Limassol Hospital expressed gratitude for the new addition to their facility, explaining that the CPAP driver will significantly improve the care they are able to provide to premature babies in need of respiratory support. The donation is expected to make a lasting impact on the hospital’s ability to treat infants, ensuring they receive the best possible care during the most critical stages of their development.
A heartfelt thank you was extended by the Cans For Kids team to their dedicated volunteers, whose tireless efforts in collecting and sorting donated cans make these life-changing contributions possible. Despite the challenges of inclement weather, the volunteers continue to work selflessly to support the cause, ensuring that the funds raised through their efforts can be used to purchase essential medical equipment.
