Happy Friday, Cyprus! As we coast into the weekend, the skies are planning a little drama of their own, but don’t let that dampen your mood.
Today, expect a mix of sunshine and moodier moments, with patches of cloud rolling through. Some areas, especially in the west this morning and later in the mountains and inland, may see a few raindrops, maybe even a rogue thunderstorm popping in uninvited. Winds are breezy from the southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort, occasionally picking up to 5, so hold on to your beach hats. The sea’s a little feisty, too, with a slight chop. As for temperatures, we're looking at a comfortable 26°C inland, 23°C along the coast, and a cooler 16°C in the mountains.
Tonight, the cloud cover sticks around, particularly in the west, north, and highlands, and yes, those isolated showers or a cheeky thunderstorm could swing by again. Winds stay light to moderate, and the sea will continue its gentle rumble. Overnight lows drop to 11°C inland, 15°C by the coast, and a brisk 7°C up in the mountains, perfect weather for a cozy night in.
Saturday brings a partly to mostly cloudy sky, with the chance of showers and the odd thunderstorm keeping things interesting. By Sunday and Monday, we’re back to a partly cloudy mix, with some light showers possible around lunchtime, especially in the mountains, just enough weather to remind you it’s spring.
No big changes on the temperature front, we’ll stay close to the seasonal average, which means pleasant days ahead.
So grab your umbrella (just in case), throw on something light, and ease into your weekend, weather quirks and all.
