Hermes Airports has announced a historic milestone for Cyprus, with passenger traffic reaching 13 million this year, the highest figure ever recorded at the nation’s airports.
This record includes both departing and arriving travelers and reflects the steady growth of Cyprus as an aviation hub. According to Hermes Airports, the achievement highlights the success of ongoing efforts to expand air connectivity, driven by collaboration between the airport operator, tourism stakeholders, and government authorities.
The 13 million passengers correspond to flights on 160 routes served by 60 airlines connecting Cyprus to 41 countries. Hermes Airports notes that this growth demonstrates that its strategic focus on improving year-round connectivity and establishing direct links to major international cities is producing tangible results.
In celebrating this achievement, Hermes Airports extended thanks to all airlines operating in Cyprus, its partner organizations, and the traveling public for their continued support in making the island a more accessible destination.
