Friendship groups lay the foundation for ongoing dialogue and cooperation

In a landmark virtual meeting, the President of the Cyprus-Turkmenistan Friendship Group in the House of Representatives, Haris Georgiades, and the President of the Turkmenistan parliamentary group, Batyr Bayliyev, expressed their commitment to fostering regular dialogue between the two Friendship Groups.

The meeting included members from both groups, featuring discussions on the potential for further development of friendly relations and cooperation between the nations. Both Presidents emphasized the strategic importance of their countries and underscored Cyprus' commitment to being a stabilizing force in a tumultuous region.

Georgiades highlighted Cyprus' role as a bridge for dialogue and cooperation between Europe and the Middle East, expressing readiness for ongoing dialogue within parliamentary dimensions and international organizations. The two Parliaments affirmed their willingness to continue fostering dialogue through their respective Friendship Groups.
