Cyprus celebrated an important achievement in rhythmic gymnastics as Vera Tugolukova secured a bronze medal in the ball final at the 2026 European Cup in Baku.
The young athlete finished third in ball, earning a place on the podium against some of Europe’s top competitors.
Tugolukova also delivered strong results across the remaining apparatus. She placed fifth in hoop, fifth in ribbon, and seventh in clubs. In the individual all-around, she recorded a total score of 109.650, reflecting consistency across all routines. She qualified for four apparatus finals, an indication of her all-around strength in the competition.
Cyprus also had representation in the group event, where the senior team finished seventh in the balls routine. The team included Anastasia Lazaridou, Christiana Papakyriakou, Melani Neokleous, Annita Andreou, Sofia Diana Christofi, and Olga Avxentiou.
