A warm air mass is affecting areas over Cyprus, with temperature highs climbing in the upper 30’s around the capital on Friday and reaching 41 on Saturday.

Friday skies will be mostly clear throughout the day with temperature highs reaching 39 degrees Celsius in the interior, 34 in the south and along the eastern shore, and around 29 in all other coastal regions and high up in the mountains.
Weather officials said dust particles could increase in the atmosphere on and off but expected to remain at moderate levels.
Evening skies will remain mostly clear with temperature lows dropping to 23 inland, south, and east, around 20 in the north and out west, while it will be 19 high up in the mountains.
Yellow warning for Saturday
A yellow warning due to extreme high temperatures has been issued for Saturday, effective from 12:30pm until 5pm, with skies remaining mostly clear winds ranging from weak to moderate.
Inland high temperatures are expected to reach 41, while levels will climb to 35 in the south, east, and north, around 33 out west, and 31 high up in the mountains.
No change in weather patterns is expected over the weekend and early next week.
