Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades may be known for making long and serious speeches, but all bets are off when the Greek Cypriot leader puts words into melody during a live performance.
Anastasiades found his way to a local tavern in Limassol into the late hours Wednesday night, after attending the graduation ceremony at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), also known as TEPAK.
At one moment, the president was sitting next to singer Themis Adamantides and a video captured the men showing off their talent in a spectacular duet of a popular love song.
“But I love you, as you are my whole life,” they sang in the chorus, with more fans of the president joining in what appeared to be an unplanned live performance.
Knews understands President Anastasiades has made quite a following over his political career with his singing abilities, as the man does not shy away from a challenge.
