Cyprus will reallocate grants for the purchase of used private electric vehicles after 30 applications under the Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme were canceled. The grants, part of the scheme’s category G9 for zero-emission vehicles, will be available through the online application portal from 11 a.m. on Sept. 2 until midnight on Sept. 16.

The Department of Road Transport said the portal will be temporarily closed on Sept. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Category G9 covers grants of €9,000 for used private vehicles with zero CO2 emissions. Applications can be submitted online through the department’s website until the grants are exhausted or until 24:00 on Sept. 16, whichever comes first.

The department noted that the approval process for this round of supplementary applications must be completed by Oct. 31, 2025. It also reserves the right to close the application process earlier, with at least seven days’ notice.
