Police in Limassol are investigating the robbery of a 22-year-old food delivery driver who was attacked while carrying out an order on Wednesday afternoon.
According to police, the young man reported that he had gone to a specific street in Limassol to deliver food when he was approached by a group of five to six individuals. The suspects allegedly assaulted him and stole the cash he was carrying.
Authorities said the victim suffered superficial injuries during the attack but declined medical treatment and did not wish to be taken to hospital.
The incident has raised fresh concerns about the safety of delivery workers, many of whom spend long hours on the road and often carry cash while working alone.
Police are continuing investigations to identify those involved and determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
