A 23-year-old food delivery man from India is being treated in hospital after a violent assault on Tuesday night in the Germasogeia area of Limassol.
Police say the man was attacked by two fellow Indians while riding his motorcycle along Pervolas Street. According to the victim, the assailants, also on a motorcycle, approached him, forced him off his bike, and then beat him with what appeared to be a golf club.
He was rushed to Limassol General Hospital by ambulance. Doctors say he suffered a serious fracture to his right arm, among other injuries, and remains under observation in the orthopedic ward.
Police have collected various items from the scene for forensic testing, but the motive for the attack remains unclear.
The case is being investigated by the Limassol Criminal Investigation Department.
