A 31-year-old man reported being attacked by a group of youths in Erimi on Friday night after he inadvertently drove into a dead-end street where they had gathered.

According to police in Limassol, the man told authorities that the group appeared irritated by his presence, which led to a verbal confrontation. During the incident, one of the youths allegedly threw a firecracker in front of his vehicle. As the man tried to leave the area, a group estimated at 10 to 15 individuals pursued him and began throwing stones at his car.

The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot to avoid further harm, then contacted police for assistance. Officers later accompanied him back to the location where the car had been left. The vehicle was found to have suffered significant damage, believed to have been caused during the attack.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
