Cyprus police have arrested a 68-year-old man in Larnaca district after uncovering a large quantity of paper believed to be infused with narcotic substances.
The arrest followed a coordinated operation carried out by the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (YKAN) in cooperation with the Anti-Drug Unit (YDAP), after authorities assessed intelligence related to suspected drug activity.
During a court-authorized search of the suspect’s residence, officers discovered 993 A4 sheets of paper. Preliminary indications suggest the paper had been treated with controlled drugs, a method sometimes used to conceal and transport narcotic substances.

The suspect was taken into custody and is now under investigation for multiple offences, including conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal acquisition of controlled drugs, unlawful possession, and possession with intent to supply drugs to others.
Police say investigations are ongoing as authorities work to determine the source of the substances and whether additional individuals may be involved.
