Good morning, Cyprus! It’s another hazy start to the day as dust lingers in the air, but relief is on the way—by afternoon, the dust should start to clear. Expect mostly sunny skies, though some clouds will roll through from time to time. Winds will be light to moderate, but if you’re in a wind-prone area, be prepared for stronger gusts. The sea is starting off a bit choppy and will get rougher as the day goes on.
Temperature-wise, we’re looking at 26°C inland, around 21°C in the west and north, 24°C along the rest of the coast, and a cooler 16°C up in the mountains.
Tonight, skies remain mostly clear, but low clouds will settle over parts of the island, especially in the west. Winds will stay breezy, and the sea will be quite rough in some areas. Overnight lows will drop to 9°C inland, 12°C along the coast, and a chilly 5°C in the mountains—so bundle up if you're heading outdoors!
Now for the good news—rain is coming! Wednesday will bring cloudy skies, local showers, and possibly even a thunderstorm. By Thursday and Friday, scattered clouds may still bring a few isolated showers. And for those dreaming of a wintery scene, the Troodos peaks could see some sleet or even snow.
Temperatures will take a noticeable dip on Wednesday, dropping further on Thursday and settling below normal for this time of year by Friday. So, enjoy today’s warmth while it lasts—cooler, wetter days are just around the corner!
