Epic continues to stand at the top of telecommunications in Cyprus, with two new international awards that are the culmination of its continuous investments in the development of a state-of-the-art, ultra-fast and reliable mobile and fixed internet network, offering an epic communication experience with innovative solutions, continuous evolution, and dedication to excellence.
#1 Fixed Internet Network in Cyprus for the second consecutive year
Ookla, the internationally recognized organization for internet measurements and analysis, has named Epic the Fastest Fixed Internet Network in Cyprus for the second consecutive year according to the Speedtest® results for Q1-Q2 of 2024. This significant distinction confirms the superiority, dynamism and reliability of Epic's fixed internet network, offering consumers, home and at work, the ultimate internet experience with 100% fiber optics and incredible speeds of up to 5Gbps.
The Ookla Speedtest Awards™ are presented to the top providers in speed who are determined using a Speed Score that incorporates a measure of each provider’s download and upload speed to rank network speed performance. Hundreds of thousands of user-initiated tests across Cyprus for the Q1-Q2 2024 period were performed, testing all fixed providers in Cyprus with Epic achieving the highest speed score.
#1 Mobile Network in Cyprus
The reliability of Epic's mobile network is confirmed once again by umlaut. The independent benchmarking organization umlaut, after evaluating the period from mid-November 2023 to the end of April 2024, ranked Epic in the first place among the domestic mobile networks as it received the highest overall score, certifying it as the Best Mobile Network in Cyprus.
The results of umlaut’s telecommunications network quality ratings are recognized in more than 120 countries as the de facto industry standard and are utilized by numerous leading telecommunications organizations.
Regarding these important distinctions, which add to the company's collection of international recognitions, Epic CEO Thanos Chronopoulos stated: “We are particularly delighted with the distinctions we have received from two organizations of international standing and recognition, as they confirm the technological excellence and quality of our networks in Cyprus and continue to establish Epic at the top.
