The mystery surrounding the double murder in the Limassol district began to unravel after a missing person report led to the identification of one of the victims. Authorities have identified one victim as Andreas Kouzoupi, 39, from Arakapa. The investigation intensified rapidly, resulting in the arrests of two suspects, aged 19 and 23.
Reports indicate that financial disputes between the perpetrators and the victims were the motive behind the brutal killings. The suspects were known to the victims, with evidence suggesting that the murders were committed at the site where the charred bodies were discovered, in the area of Listovouno.
The identity of the second victim remains under investigation, with authorities expecting to confirm it within the next few hours. The suspects are set to appear before the Limassol District Court for a detention hearing.
Initial investigations revealed that one body was found in the passenger seat and the other in the back seat of a vehicle. Forensic examinations determined that both victims died from head injuries caused by gunshot wounds.
