A burst of color has arrived in central Protaras, where a brand-new floor mural now decorates one of the resort town’s busiest spots, quickly becoming a new photo hotspot for both residents and visitors.
The vibrant artwork connects the main hotel strip with the nearby parallel road leading to parking areas, turning what was once a simple pathway into a creative, eye-catching passage to the town’s commercial and tourist center.
Painted in bold colors and geometric shapes, the mural gives the area a fresh, modern feel, adding to Protaras’ growing reputation as a destination with artistic flair and creative energy.
Paralimni-Deryneia Mayor Giorgos Nikolettos said that public art and beautification projects are a key part of the municipality’s plan to keep upgrading the area. “These interventions highlight the identity of our municipality’s resort area and help establish it as a modern, lively, and inspiring destination,” he said.
With every brushstroke, Protaras seems to be adding a little more color and a lot more personality to its streets.
