Press Release
Grant Thornton Cyprus hosted its bi-annual Concert for a Cause, bringing together more than 300 colleagues, clients, friends, and family members for an evening dedicated to community, collaboration, and meaningful impact.
The concert featured a high-energy performance from GT Chords, the firm’s in-house band made up of colleagues from different service lines and professional backgrounds. What began as a small initiative in 2019 has grown into a much-anticipated tradition, showcasing not only musical talent but also the strong sense of teamwork and connection across the firm.
This year, GT Chords was made up of nine members, who delivered an outstanding performance that filled the venue with enthusiasm and created a vibrant atmosphere for a great cause. The event’s success reflects the collective spirit of the Grant Thornton community and demonstrates what can be achieved when people come together around a shared purpose.

All proceeds from the evening have been donated to the Grant Thornton Cyprus Foundation, whose mission is to help at least one underprivileged person pursue his or her educational dream. The Foundation supports this purpose through a number of fundraising activities throughout the year, with Concert for a Cause and Bingo Night serving as its flagship events, alongside smaller internal initiatives
such as bake-offs and bazaars. Collectively, these efforts reflect the firm’s ongoing commitment to creating opportunities and making a meaningful difference in the community.
Stavros Ioannou, CEO of Grant Thornton Cyprus, commented: “Concert for a Cause has become a true reflection of who we are as a firm. Seeing colleagues from different backgrounds come together, not for work, but for something they genuinely care about, shows the best of our culture. GT Chords has grown into a wonderful symbol of collaboration, creativity and community spirit. Their commitment, along with the support of everyone who attended, demonstrates how deeply our values are lived every day. And seeing our people unite around a shared purpose is the best example of impact, as it should be.
