Collision between Greek Cypriots with bus in occupied territories leads to hospitalization, investigation underway

A significant traffic collision involving Greek Cypriots took place on Maundy Thursday (May 2nd) within the Occupied Territories, reports from the Greek press indicate.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., a vehicle bearing Cypriot number plates, operated by a 79-year-old male driver accompanied by a female passenger, collided with a bus under circumstances currently under investigation. Following the collision, emergency responders promptly transported the two Greek Cypriots to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Notably, as part of the ongoing investigations into the incident, authorities in the occupied region reportedly detained the bus driver, taking him into custody for further inquiries.
