Police in Paphos are investigating the killing of a 34-year-old woman from Greece, identified as Papakitsa Eirina, who was found dead Sunday at a home in Chloraka.

Authorities said officers were called around 5:30 p.m. with reports of an injured woman and child at the residence.

Police said they found the woman unresponsive, along with a 14-year-old boy and a 53-year-old man, both injured. The teenager and the man were taken to Paphos General Hospital for treatment.

Investigators said the man, who is believed to be the victim’s partner, was later arrested on a court warrant. He was transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors said his condition was stable. Police said he is under guard.

Paphos Assistant Police Director of Operations Michalis Nikolaou told reporters the 14-year-old was injured while trying to stop the man from attacking his mother.

Nikolaou said the crime scene has been sealed and is under examination by forensic pathologists and investigators.

He added that the suspect had not previously come to the attention of police, though that is still being investigated.
