The Health Ministry on Monday announced one coronavirus fatality and 113 new cases, raising the death toll to 222 and total cases detected so far to 32,626.
The fatality involved an 86-year-old woman who suffered from underlying health conditions.
The new cases emerged after 35,164 tests were conducted. Of the 113 new cases, 64 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test.
The remaining 34 were contacts, two were arrivals to a Cyprus airport, eight were people who took the initiative to get tested, and three were people who got tested at general hospitals.
Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 86 coronavirus patients, 25 of which are in critical condition.
23 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, two of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 30 patients, 20 of which are in the ICU. 33 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where two are in the ICU.
