The Health Ministry on Monday announced two coronavirus fatalities and 105 new cases, raising the death toll to 214 and total cases detected so far to 31,864.
The fatalities involved two men, aged 89 and 93, both of whom suffered from underlying health conditions.
The new cases emerged after 35,739 tests were conducted. Of the 105 new cases, 68 involved people who tested positive to a rapid test.
The remaining 18 were contacts, seven were people who took the initiative to get tested, five were people who got tested at general hospitals, while seven got tested via rapid test at private labs.
Cyprus hospitals are currently treating 103 coronavirus patients, 34 of which are in critical condition.
24 patients are in the Famagusta general hospital, three of which are in the ICU. The Nicosia general hospital is also treating 38 patients, 24 of which are in the ICU. 40 more coronavirus patients are at the Limassol general hospital where six are in the ICU, while one more is at the Makario hospital in Nicosia.
