Starting Friday, November 15, young people and couples in Cyprus will be able to apply for financial assistance through a new housing plan. The program, designed to support those up to the age of 41, will accept applications online until December 31, 2024, at noon.
The Ministry of Interior announced that applications must be submitted via the official online platform, www.housing.moi.gov.cy. Applicants are required to fill out the forms completely and provide all necessary documents as outlined in the program guide.
Those who have not yet obtained certain required certificates, such as real estate survey certificates, can still apply by including a request to the Department of Lands and Surveys. This includes documents that verify the sale or cancellation of property sales related to the applicant and their spouse or partner.
Another key requirement is proof of income. Applicants must submit a tax return to confirm their gross family income, but those whose income falls below taxable levels do not need to submit a return for the scheme.
Additionally, applicants will need to prove their legal and continuous residence in Cyprus for the last five years. This can be done with documents like utility bills, a certificate from a relevant organization, or an itemized statement of social insurance earnings.
The Ministry of Interior advises applicants to gather all necessary documents ahead of time to avoid delays or rejections. With the application window remaining open for over a year, potential applicants have ample time to prepare their submissions.
