Homeless individuals continue to take shelter under the piers of Limassol’s Molos, living in deplorable conditions. They place bags, suitcases, plastic containers, bottles, and other items around them, raising serious concerns about how they endure the nights—especially given the recent extreme cold temperatures.

The television program "Protoselido" on Sigma TV aired statements from a citizen who filmed such a location beneath a pier to highlight the issue. According to him, authorities dismissed his claims as false when he initially reported it.

"It’s a well-known spot in Molos, right by the sea. When you go for a walk, it’s hard to miss. It’s easy to spot, and I don’t understand how the authorities didn’t see it. When we alerted them, they tried to make us look like liars, so I had no choice but to gather evidence," the citizen said.

He added that the first time he saw a homeless person at the site, wrapped up in coverings, was on the same day the Meteorological Department had warned that the night would be the coldest of the winter. "I don’t know how this man made it through the night," he added.
