Oscar-winning actor Gene Hackman, beloved for his roles in iconic films such as The French Connection and Unforgiven, has passed away at the age of 94. Hackman was found dead on February 27 at his home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, alongside his wife, Betsy Arakawa. Their dog was also discovered deceased at the residence.
Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza confirmed the news, stating that there was no evidence of foul play in the deaths. "I want to assure the community and neighborhood that there's no immediate danger to anyone," Mendoza told The Santa Fe New Mexican, though the cause of death remains undetermined at this time.
