A senior commander in Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that Cyprus could face heavy missile attacks, citing what he described as a growing United States military presence on the island, according to Khabar Fouri.
General Sardar Jabbari alleged that the US has transferred a large portion of its aircraft to Cyprus. He cautioned that Tehran would respond forcefully if the deployment continues.
In his remarks, Jabbari said Iran would be prepared to carry out powerful missile strikes against targets in Cyprus, adding that such action would aim to pressure American forces to withdraw from the island.
