An unstable, cold air mass is affecting the area.
Today the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms affecting the beach area. There will be some snowfall in the mountains. From noon onwards isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to move inland in various areas of the island. Temperatures will rise to about 15 degrees inland and on the south coast, 16 degrees on the rest of the coastal areas and around 5 degrees in the higher mountains.
Tonight the weather will be partly cloudy with isolated showers mainly on the west and north coasts. Mountain areas will experience some snow and sleet. The temperature will drop to around 3 degrees inland, around 7 on the west coast, around 5 on the rest of the coastal areas and around minus 3 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Friday the weather will be mostly clear. But from noon onwards increasing clouds are expected to give way to isolated showers mainly in the southern half of the island. There is a possibility of light snowfall in the higher mountains.
On Saturday, the weather will initially be mostly clear giving way to increasing clouds and isolated showers on the eastern half of the island. Snow is likely to fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
On Sunday the weather will be mostly clear, with increasing clouds at noon and early afternoon.
