The Republic of Cyprus is hosting the Summit of the nine Mediterranean European Union member states (MED9) for the first time.
The summit brings together the leaders of France, Greece, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Malta, and Slovenia, alongside Portugal’s foreign minister.
Also in attendance are European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Jordan’s King Abdullah II, who accepted an invitation from Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.
