The Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Cyprus marked its 64th National Day and 34th Liberation Day with a grand reception at the Hilton Nicosia on February 25, bringing together top Cypriot officials, diplomats, and dignitaries.
His Excellency Minister of Finance Makis Keravnos attended as the guest of honor, representing the Cypriot government. Also present were Minister of Health Michael Damianos, Chief of Police Stelios Papatheodorou, Chief of the National Guard, former Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, and numerous ambassadors and diplomats from Arab and foreign missions.
In his address, Kuwait’s Ambassador to Cyprus, His Excellency Abdullah Musaed Al-Khorafi, highlighted the long-standing and friendly relations between the two nations, dating back to Kuwait’s independence in 1961. He expressed appreciation for Cyprus' steadfast support of Arab causes and its commitment to regional peace and stability.
Al-Khorafi also reaffirmed Kuwait’s unwavering support for Cyprus on key national issues, underscoring the strong diplomatic ties that have flourished over the decades.
The event served as a reflection of the deep-rooted friendship and cooperation between Kuwait and Cyprus, bringing together officials and diplomats in a spirit of unity and celebration.
